Program Benefits
The program offers specialized coaching on the requirements for DDC pedestrian ramp rehabilitation and DPR & DEP concrete-based project solicitations, as well as for related M/WBE PQLs. Participating businesses will build capacity to qualify for this specific project work, and for City projects in general, and will increase their probability of being approved for a related M/WBE PQL or being awarded these types of contracts.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants will:
- Own (or co-own with decision-making authority) a construction or trade firm.
- Be certified by the City of New York as an M/WBE
- Be experienced in concrete or related trade work.
- Have successfully completed concrete-related projects at a minimum per-project value of $25,000.
- Have minimum annual revenues of $250,000.
- Have commercial or government project experience.
- Be able to commit to the 12+ week period of the program.
Accepted participants will be expected to attend all respective classes, one-on-one mentoring/counseling sessions, and additional technical assistance sessions over an anticipated 12-session/12-week period. Weekly class sessions, a mix of in-person and virtual, will be held every Thursday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. A syllabus, including additional sessions conducted outside of class sessions, will be provided before or at the first class session.

How to Apply
Program classes are a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. Cohort 6 will focus on projects solicited by DEP, DPR and DDC.
Cohort 6 (Winter 2026) will start January 8, 2026, and applications are now being accepted.
Deadline to apply is December 12, 2025.
