A commuter van driver gets a license from the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). The driver can carry passengers for money. The van must have seats for at least 9 but not more than 20 passengers.

- License renewal payments: You can pay to renew your license online. Use the LARS (License Applications, Renewals and Summonses) system.

- Complete the application form at the link above.
- Submit applications at the Long Island City or Staten Island License facilities.
- Visits to the Staten Island facility are by appointment only.

Submit fees with the application form: All fees are nonrefundable.

File the license application, required documents and fees in person at a TLC Licensing Center:
- You can do this from Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
