Commuter Van Driver License

A commuter van driver gets a license from the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). The driver can carry passengers for money. The van must have seats for at least 9 but not more than 20 passengers.

• License renewal payments: You can pay to renew your license online. Use the LARS (License Applications, Renewals and Summonses) system.

• Submit all required documents:

  • Complete the application form at the link above.
  • Submit applications at the Long Island City or Staten Island License facilities.

• Submit fees with the application form: All fees are nonrefundable.
