Building owners and property managers must register cooling towers, fluid coolers and evaporative condensers with the City. If you have any of this equipment, you need to register through the NYC Health Department at Cooling Tower Registration. This is required by Local Law 77 of 2015, effective August 18, 2015.

Owners and managers must also create and keep a maintenance plan for each cooling tower system on-site.
