The Taxi Meter Shop Business License is required for a company to manufacture, sell, repair, adjust, test or calibrate a taxi meter for use in a New York City Medallion Cab.

License renewal payments can be made online via the LARS (License Applications, Renewals and Summonses) System.
All other vehicle types licensed by the Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), including For Hire Vehicles, Commuter Vans, and Paratransit Vehicles, require other individual operating licenses. All required documents listed above must be submitted with a completed application form to the TLC Licensing Department at our Queens location. For the location of the Taxi and Limousine Commissions Queens office where the application must be filed please refer to the Contact Information Section below.
Fees must be submitted along with the application form. All fees are non-refundable.
The license application, required documents, and fees must be filed in person at a TLC Licensing center from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm.
